A collection of music mostly for solo guitar, guitar with voice and guitar with ensemble. Collected by Josiah Andrew Hudelston, mainly while working in Madras, (1817 – 1856), but also when he settled in Ireland.
A substantial collection of 19th century guitar music in original editions, comprising about 1,100 printed items and 800 manuscript items; contains some unique prints; also includes methods for various musical instruments. These works were collected by a guitarist who was a contemporary of many of the composers, and who knew some of them.
