Mussenden family of Larchfield, Annahilt, Co. Down

Biography/History

Daniel Mussenden, 18th century civic dignitary, successful merchant of Belfast and partner in Belfast's first bank, moved to a country estate, Larchfield, Annahilt, in 1757. His son William, who took over the family business, and his son Daniel appear to have lived in Dublin on and off in the 1760s and 1770s while continuing to trade out of Belfast.
