A small collection of articles, talks, and papers written and delivered by economic historian Professor Edward Rodney Richey Green (1920-1981).
Professor E.R.R. Green was a Senior Lecturer in History at Manchester University from 1954-1970 and held the post of Director of the Institute of Irish Studies at Queen’s University Belfast from 1970-1981. Pamphlets and re-printed articles published by Green form the bulk of this collection, alongside typescripts of other unpublished material. Of particular note are a series of papers delivered by Green and others at a public lecture series on ‘Ulstermen in American Business’, organised by the Ulster-Scots Historical Foundation in [1972?]. Also included are typescripts of radio lectures and talks by Green during the 1960s and 1970s, many as part of the Thomas Davis Lectures series broadcast by Radio Telefis Éireann (RTE). Correspondence between RTE and Green detailing the conditions of some of the broadcasts is also contained.
