The general music materials are focused on supporting academic requirements of students and staff of the Academy. These include books and periodicals on music, reference works and bibliographies, including online databases. Printed music comprises performing editions, full and study scores, and a substantial library of orchestral sets. Recordings comprise CDs, DVDs, online-streaming services as well as LPs and cassettes. The special collections comprise mainly printed materials from the early 18th century to c. 1900
