Biography/History

The National Library of Ireland was established by the Dublin Science and Art Museum Act, 1877. In 2005, the National Library of Ireland was established as an autonomous cultural institution under the National Cultural Institutions Act, 1997. \nThe mission of the Library is to collect, preserve and make available books, manuscripts and other library materials of Irish interest.\n
